Confessions - your thoughts

I want you to know that I read every comment and every email you send. Your encouragement toward me along with your enthusiasm for this blog leaves me inspired daily! I also see your worries and your fears and I feel them right with you!

The following are bits and pieces from  a couple recent emails or comments,

"...It's hard and frustrating, and makes me question whether I am any good."

"Thank you for the article. I guess I just felt like you might understand the rest of my "woe is me" state. I have no one to job shadow and take me under their wing. You're all I got Sensei! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your blog. You'll never know how much it means to me."

"Its good to hear and all true information. Its also a little depressing from a just-starting photographers point of view. Guess its one of the many I'll-never-get-there days."

I wish so badly that I could say the perfect thing to lift each of your spirits! I hope you know I'm sending you really bigs hugs ('m a total hugger, throws people off guard all the time). The honest truth is that there is a lot more to this whole photography thing then any of us honestly thought there would be. It's kind of like a roller coaster... One moment you're heading up, up, up the tracks. You have a smile plastered on your face and you anxiously await the thrill of the ride then suddenly you're jerked about and you suddenly feel the fear grip you as you plummet, loop 'd' loop and get flipped on your head. It happens to all of us, regularly!

Don't feel alone! That is the entire reason, I started this blog. I felt alone. I had ZERO connections. I would learn something new, be ecstatic and have no body to share it with so I started writing. I knew someone else out there would be excited to. Go{4}Pro is here to offer a welcoming hand, to be inspired by the seasoned and to learn through my errors (oh lucky you ;)

If you have something you would like to share, you can go to the FLICKR group, email me a post submission or just keep making comments. We photographers need to stick together... After all a roller coaster is always more fun with a friend!

  2. The roller coaster is great. I would add that, in addition, there is a documentary being made and many are watching you while you are on the ride. No pressure!

Thank you, thank you for your wonderful sight! I'm learning so much!

  3. Lisa!
While it does add a little pressure I love it! It propels me forward. And it really does mean a lot to me that I'm documenting my story after all WE ARE STORY TELLERS so why would we forget to tell our own? Hmmm. I think I'll have to write a post about that!
