I remember the first time I saw this video, I was smitten! I asked Amy once about why she did the Breakfast at Tiffany's Shoot and she said it was just for fun. Her project has certainly inspired me in my own 'just for me' projects and I hope it will be able to do that for you as well! Here's to shooting for YOU!

In Action} Sandy Puc Video

I had a great time attending Family Tour while Sam was in Portland and recently had the opportunity to see her again at WPPI. Sam has an amazing story as this is the only industry she has ever been in. Add to that a very engaging teaching style and, lets just say I'm excited for when her tour comes back next year.  I wanted to show you this video I found to give you a change to get to know Sandy Puc just a little better. Want your clients to see stars? This was one of those jumping from one thing to another and somehow I landed on this video and thought it was just so awesome!! If you've tried this.. or do try it, I WANT TO SEE THE RESULTS!! I need to pull me out some Christmas lights!

Newborn Shoot in Action - by Emily Weaver Brown

I know you all have enjoyed watching sessions in action so here is a new video by a new (only to Go{4}Pro ) photographer, Emily Weaver Brown is a Seattle based photographer who shows just how much patience and waiting is involved in newborn photography.

I really love that Emily mentions that it's a lot more about rocking and waiting then it is shooting and playing, oh so true!! Newborn sessions take the longest (PERIOD). I have had a newborn session take up to 4 hours, and if it's the first baby, mom and dad are very cautious and nervous and you really need to respect that and take your time! I wrote a post  HERE for newborn tips and tricks that you might enjoy.

I love shooting newborns. It's a lot of work, but the end result is so worth it! Thank you to Emily for sharing this video with us!

And oh my gosh - can I just tell you how badly I want to shoot an urban session with a Ballerina?! Why does everyone get to work with ballerinas but me? I want a Ballerina daddy, and I want her now! (I'm saying that last line with a sweet accent just like Violet on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- the original of course!)

Tamara Lackey - Inspires in 2 minutes or less!

I love learning. No, seriously I LOVE to learn, so when I read a recent blog post talking about successful entrepreneurs and it said that one of the top 5 attributes of a successful entrepreneur is an unquenchable thirst to know more... I was like - oh yes - I am sooooo that successful entrepreneur that they're talking about. I mean he might as well have just typed it out - yes leah, we mean y.o.u. !

I'm constantly reading, studying, observing. Everything around me has opportunities to teach me something. Hmm. Maybe now I'm making it obvious how little I really actually know? The fact is, that's true! There are a thousand before me who know oodles and oodles more then I. They have accomplished what I've only started to dream about and I want to soak up all I can from them!

Tamara Lackey is one of those such photographers, who's oodles and oodles astounds me to the highest degree! She's brilliant. Not only as a photographer but as an entrepreneur, and that my friends is where true genius comes to play. You may be insanely gifted as a photographer and yet the only title you can consistently hold is as starving artist. I have met them, I've seen the starving artists and you know what? I've learned from their experiences as well! But when you find one, and truly there are so many more then just one who truly leaves you saying 'W.O.W - They've got it going on!!' Well it's worth looking into what it is that has made the "on" so dang bright! Tamara Lackey could light up down town in a power outage!

So I was just on Tamara Lackey's blog and saw this video clip and (not even joking) I learned something in the 2.5 minute promo clip and figured you probably would too! Oh if only I could afford all the other minutes! But I just spent $$$$'s for my amazing hubby's first round of boards. 'I love education, I love education, I love education'. Just keep chanting it!
